If you are using any DOS programs in the Windows DOS session box, there are a few things you can do to increase their performance and/or stability. Right-click on the programs MS-DOS shortcut and select 'Properties' then:
1. Click on the 'Screen' tab and check 'Full Screen'
2. Click on the 'Program' tab and uncheck 'Windows NT' if the program
does not require it
3. Click on the 'Program' tab and uncheck 'Compatible Timer Hardware'
4. Click on the 'Misc' tab and uncheck 'Idle Detection'
